Bhima to offer close relation to Hasili at Easter

Khalid Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms has announced the death of exceptional broodmare Hasili at the age of 27.

Hasili (Kahyasi-Kerali, by High Line) has produced five Gr1 winners, namely Intercontinental (Danehill), Champs Elysees (Danehill), Cacique (Danehill), Banks Hill (Danehill) and Heat Haze (Green Desert), to establish herself as one of the most outstanding broodmares of all time. She is also the dam of top-class stallion Dansili (Danehill), sire of elite racehorses such as Harbinger, Flintshire, The Fugue and Rail Link.

Hasili shares the world record of five individual Group 1 winners with legendary New Zealand broodmare Eight Carat.

Stud director Simon Mockridge said: “Hasili has been an integral part of Juddmonte’s history. Her record of producing five Group 1 winners is unsurpassed in the modern era and her powerful influence will continue to be felt through Juddmonte pedigrees and the General Stud Book for many years to come.” He added: “It has been a privilege to have been associated with such an exceptional blue hen mare.”

As we head towards the 2018 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Bhima will offer a filly closely related to the Champion broodmare as Lot 286: Redoute’s Choice x Piste Noire filly. The August foaled filly, pictured below and above is a grand-daughter of the stakes-placed Skiable, herself a half-sister to the Blue Hen Hasili, while she ia also very closely related to Bhima’s previous Easter graduate Scissor Kick, a Group 3-winning, Group 1 placed son of Redoute’s Choice – click HERE for the pedigree.
